• Create a PowerPoint deck or a presentation using any method avail-
able to summarise the business case for the meeting with the sponsor
of the business case. We can use the business case templates discussed
in this chapter for it.
• Schedule meetings with the sponsor to get his approval first. Once
the sponsor has approved the business case, we need to schedule
workshops/meetings with other key stakeholders that are part of the
approval process.
• Once we have all approvals from stakeholders, most probably the last
step is to get approval from procurement and vendor management
teams in our organisation.
• Once the procurement and vendor management has approved the
business case, we can take our team for dinner to celebrate the launch
of the programme.
• We have now secured approval of our budget for the programme
launch.
• The next big steps are to execute the strategic programme, to deliver
the business outcomes and to create value for the business.
EXECUTION OF A BLOCKCHAIN BUSINESS CASE
Execution of the blockchain business case is the core of the whole process
of creating and getting business case approval. The main purpose of the
blockchain business case is to transform the existing baseline that show-
cased a problem to achieve the business outcomes creating the value for the
organisation. The main outcome for a business case is to deliver business
outcomes that are aligned to the strategic outcomes, assisting in accom-
plishing the mission and vision of the organisation.
The following are the steps and recommendations to execute the strategic
programmes as part of successful business case delivery.
Steps

appropriate team that encompasses skills and positive attitude and
that believes in the vision and mission of the organisation.
